Teachers Overview
We welcome enquiries from qualified teachers in all sectors - preschool, primary and secondary - in all specialisms - for both short term / long term and permanent placements in both state and independent schools.
We supply schools in Bristol, B.A.N.E.S., North Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Somerset. Our register comprises Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's), Early Retired Teachers and Returning Teachers from the United Kingdom and further afield, and those teachers who simply prefer the freedom and flexibility offered by supply teaching.
Entry onto our register requires a personal interview, contacting referees, ID verification, QTS, GTCE registration and enhanced CRB disclosure checks. You will need to bring appropriate documentation to enable us to carry out these checks when we meet you. Checks are undertaken as quickly as possibly to enable early commencement of work - frequently teachers already possess some of the necessary documentation. We need to establish your skills and strengths to enable appropriate placement in schools.
As far as is possible we try to place teachers in schools local to their home. Where teachers can and are prepared to travel further this will increase the opportunities for employment and pay is reviewed accordingly.
We appreciate that you may want to join us for a variety of reasons; you may be looking for regular day to day supply work or a longer term contract, and we aim to meet your needs and help you in your career development. We recognise the importance of continuing professional development and offer support and advice to our supply teachers.
We also have a resource base at our office site which all are welcome to use.
We constantly monitor rates of pay in the market place and endeavour to pay well commensurate with requirements of placements. Our finances are controlled in-house and we ensure that weekly payment, determined from timesheets, is on time and that any queries are dealt with quickly and on a personal basis. Payments are made directly to your bank / building society through the BACS automated pay system. Alternatively cheques can be issued. Student loans, family credits, tax coding etc. are taken into account.
